Markets - market day in Umbria and throughout Italy is a big occasion, here we list the major market days in the towns close to Santa Chiara.  Markets are held in the mornings.

Watersports - white water rafting and canoing are available at the Marmore national water park in the south of the region near Terni.  For more detail please check www.marmore.it

Water Park - there is an excellent aquapark 50 mins drive from Santa Chiara which is open all summer, the park has 4 pools including a very shallow kids pool, aqua slides and diving boards.

Sandy Beaches - there are several sandy beaches alongside nearby Lago Trasimeno, our favourite is Sualzo beach near Passignano which can be reached in 30mins.

Museum of Wine - visit the famous Lungarotti vineyards in Torgiano - www.lungarotti.it/
