Santa Chiara offers a choice of three self catering apartments furnished in traditional Umbrian style – Pantano, Rancale and Pietramelina – each with its own unique character. All apartments have their own private entrance and terrace for al fresco dining.
Pantano – sleeps four
As Santa Chiara is nestled in a valley, this unique situation means that although Pantano is on the top floor of the house, it has its own independent gated entrance at ground level leading onto a luxurious 40 square metre fenced private terrace. The views are far reaching along the valley and towards the swimming pool.
The apartment is entered directly from the terrace into the separate dinning room which has an extendible dining table and four chairs. A traditional archway then leads you through into the lounge, giving a spacious open plan feel. The lounge has two large comfortable sofas, (one of which is a sofa bed), a beautiful wood burning stove, exposed stone walls and terracotta floors. Leading from the lounge is a separate and fully equipped kitchen with granite worktop, fridge/freezer, microwave, oven, grill and hob.
There are two large dual aspect double bedrooms, one with twin beds. Both rooms have high ceilings with chestnut beams and solid wood floors. The large family bathroom comes complete with a lovely free standing slipper bath, separate shower cubicle and fabulous old marble sink.
All the windows are fitted with Juliet bars for safety and external chestnut shutters allow guests to regulate the heat and light flow into the apartment.

Rancale – sleeps four
This apartment has a wonderful, private, south facing terrace shaded from the height of the sun by a pergola with sun sail; it’s an ideal place to enjoy the unspoilt views of the valley whilst enjoying an al fresco meal.
Leading from the terrace there is a garden with children’s play area. From the main front door steps lead to the first floor. There is a wrought iron hand rail and at the top of the stairs is a built-in wooden stair gate.
Throughout Rancale there are barrel vaulted ceilings, handmade terracotta floors and exposed stone walls. The living space is particularly spacious and light, benefiting from a south westerly aspect and a total of four large windows. There is a traditional brick archway connecting the comfortable lounge, which has two large sofas (one of which is a sofa bed) to the open plan kitchen/dinning area. The fully fitted kitchen comes complete with a dishwasher, double sink, electric fan oven, five ring gas hob, microwave and large fridge/freezer.
There are two large double bedrooms, one master suite with king sized bed and en-suite shower room, the other with twin beds and a further family bathroom with bathtub and separate shower cubicle.

Pietramelina – sleeps two
plus travel cot
Enter Pietramelina via French doors leading from its private flagstone paved terrace, which offers wonderful views of the olive groves and the valley beyond.
The lounge/dining area is light and spacious with dual aspect windows. There is a fully equipped kitchen with marble worktop, fridge/freezer, microwave, oven, four ring gas hob and grill. The lounge has a lovely wood burning stove, flat screen TV and DVD player and a comfortable sofa.
The bedroom can be made up as a king bed or twin room and can easily accommodate a travel cot. The en-suite bathroom has an enormous deluge shower. Throughout the apartment there are exposed stone walls, handmade terracotta floors and the bedroom and lounge windows also have built-in mosquito nets.
Pietramelina is equipped with the following:
